What To Expect From Your Visit

Welcome to the Texas Allergy & Sinus Center.  We are honored that you have chosen us for your care. We know that it can be a little intimidating going to a doctor’s office and we would like you to be as comfortable and knowledgeable about our center before you visit so that you may have a pleasant and productive appointment. We take a team approach to our patient care and you will get the opportunity to interact with many members of our team during your evaluation. We encourage questions and feedback and you will have the opportunity to tell us what you think of your visit after your appointment.

Because rhinology problems can be complicated, you may have many assessments during your visit in order to arrive at the correct diagnosis or to follow your progress in the most timely and accurate manner. Please allow time for us to thoroughly assess you. For an initial visit, we do not recommend you schedule any other commitments for two hours after your appointment time. You should not eat anything heavy before your appointment.  Assessments during your visit will include vital signs (weight, blood pressure, and pulse) as well as a general ear nose and throat exam and may include endoscopic evaluation of the nasal cavity and sinuses, consultation with our allergy department for allergy testing, breathing test to assess lung function (allergy, sinusitis, and asthma are often associated with one another), blood testing, or radiographic studies such as a CT Scan or MRI of the sinuses. Not every problem will require all of these tests as everyone is different.

We appreciate your trust and your care. We understand that a visit to a doctor can be intimidating or even scary, and we will do everything we can to take care of you and respect you while you are with us. It is our goal that your visit with us will lead to your improved function and a solution to your problem.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!
